The Northeast Conference conducted its annual media teleconference with participating women's basketball coaches prior to the start of the NEC Tournament on Wednesday morning. The tournament begins with quarterfinal play on Thursday as #1 Long Island hosts #8 St. Francis (NY), #2 Robert Morris welcomes #7 Fairleigh Dickinson, #3 Sacred Heart, the defending NEC champion, entertains #6 Mount St. Mary's and #4 Quinnipiac plays host to #5 Monmouth.  The soundbites below were taken from opening statements made by coaches during the call, followed by any questions from the media.
