A weekend-high average and Sacred Heart’s 8-1 record land Carbonetto the NEC Bowler of the Week award. Carbonetto topped the individual leader board at the NEC Fall meet by producing a 226.2 game average over the course of nine traditional team matches. Locked in at Colony Lanes, the third-year Pioneer left only five opens in 90 frames bowled. Her eye-popping statistical line also features a .610 strike percentage. Carbonetto struck 64 times in 105 attempts on the way to eight 210-plus pin performances during the two-day meet. Helping Sacred Heart grab an early two-match lead in the NEC standings, the right-hander bowled at least a 234 in five of her nine starts. Her high game of 246 helped the Pioneers achieve its top team score of the weekend in a 1048-964 win over Adelphi. Carbonetto turned in a 244-pin effort to lead SHU to a 1029-788 triumph over Monmouth. She opened the weekend with a 245 game against Long Island.
