Martin provided a spark off the bench in helping Quinnipiac capture the St. Mary’s Concord Hilton Thanksgiving Classic.  The 5-foot-8 freshman guard turned in back-to-back 13-point performances in two-point victories over Minnesota and tournament host St. Mary’s.  Martin nearly averaged one point per minute in the tournament opener against Big Ten member Minnesota and sunk the Golden Gophers with a buzzer-beating basket.  The rookie guard, who scored 13 points in 15 minutes, broke a 62-62 tie by hitting a game-winning jump shot with 00:00 left on the clock.  Martin saw her playing time increase to 24 minutes in the tournament title tilt against St. Mary’s.  Her 13 points and four rebounds were key factors in the 69-67 triumph over the West Coast Conference program.  Martin’s lone assist last week came in a crucial spot against the tournament host.  The Garden State product set up Felicia Barron’s three-pointer that gave the Bobcats a 66-62 advantage over St. Mary’s with 1:51 remaining in regulation.  Martin was impeccable from the free throw line during the two-game clip, shooting 7-for-7 at the stripe.
