Ankoma-Mensa’s back-to-back double-double performances helped Bryant to back-to-back wins over Ivy League members last week. The third-year Bulldog averaged 14.0 points and 17.0 rebounds while shooting 57.1 percent (12-of-21) from the field during victories over Brown and Columbia. Ankoma-Mensa played all 40 minutes of an 81-58 wire-to-wire win over Ocean State rival Brown in Providence. She scored the game’s first bucket on the way to 11 points and 17 rebounds. After remaining on the floor for all of Bryant’s mid-week win, the 6-foot forward put forth another 40-minute effort in a Saturday home game against Columbia. She tallied 17 points, 17 rebounds and three assists during the Bulldogs’ 68-54 triumph. Ankoma-Mensa shot well for the second game in a row, making 8 of 13 field goal attempts against the Lions.
