Kirby Day, Mount St. Mary's
Day tallied eight goals and an assist to help the Mount to a share of its second NEC regular season title and the #1 seed in the conference tournament. In a 21-4 win over Long Island, the junior notched a career-high six goals along with one assist. She posted a natural hat trick in a span of three minutes and 32 seconds to help erase a 1-0 deficit and give the Mount a 4-1 advantage. Day added a goal and an assist to end the first half and then capped off her career afternoon with a marker in the second stanza. Day then recorded two goals to help the Mountaineers defeat Monmouth, 11-10, on Sunday and earn the #1 seed and right to host the NEC Tournament. Both of her goals came in the second half and both helped the squad reclaim a four-goal edge. On the season, Day has registered 26 points on 23 goals and three assists.
