Mary Montesarchio, Sacred Heart

Montesarchio earns her first NEC Rookie of the Week honor after scoring a career-high seven points in a 19-10 victory over CCSU last week. In tallying her career-high seven points, she also posted single-game bests in goals with four and assists with three. Montesarchio had a hand in six of the Pioneers’ 12 first half goals, netting four goals and assisting on two. The rookie midfielder also added two ground balls and two draw controls in the win. Montesarchio closes the regular season tied for second on the team with 33 points on 21 goals and a team-high 12 assists. The Cortlandt Manor, NY native has also posted 31 grounders, 22 draw wins and 11 caused turnovers this season.
