Betsy Vendel, Central Connecticut

Vendel led CCSU to a 1-1 week with 13 points in two games on eight goals and five assists.  In winning her league-leading fourth Rookie of the Week award this season, she also compiled eight ground balls, eight draw controls and three caused turnovers.  She scored four goals, while adding two assists, six ground balls, five draw controls and three caused turnovers in a 23-17 win over Saint Francis (PA) on Friday.  Vendel then led the Blue Devils with four goals, three assists, two ground balls and three draws in a one-goal setback to Robert Morris on Sunday.  Vendel ranks third in the NEC with 3.93 points per game and 1.79 assists per game, and has already notched 55 points in her first season at CCSU.
