Central Connecticut State won its third-straight NEC Tournament Championship by capturing four straight games, including a sweep of the championship round against Wagner on Sunday. Blue Devil Evan Scribner pitched in four of the five tournament games and was named the tournament Most Valuable Player. The freshman saved and won a game on the final day and allowed just four earned runs over 16-plus innings. CCSU became the first team to win the title coming from the loser's bracket after dropping the tournament opener to the Seahawks. The Blue Devils will compete in the NCAA Regionals from June 4-6. The NCAA Baseball Tournament Selection Show is scheduled for Monday, May 31 at 12:00 pm on ESPN2.
