Smithfield, RI -- After racking up more than 1,400 yards and 15 rushing touchdowns in his sophomore campaign, Bryant University junior running back Jordan Brown (Glastonbury, Conn.) was recognized as a 2011 Consensus Draft Services Preseason FCS All-American Honorable mention selection earlier this week.

Brown, a 2010 All-Northeast Conference First Team selection, heads into the fall ranked sixth in rushing yards and fourth all-time in all-purpose yards for the Bulldogs. The Connecticut native was recognized twice in 2010 with the New England Football Writer Association's Gold Helmet Award by the Greater Boston Gridiron Club and was the only second-year player to be named to the NEFWA Division I (FCS) All-New England team.

The 5-9, 185-pound running back finished first in the NEC in all-purpose yards per game (172.4), rushing yards per outing (128.2) and total points scored (108). In addition to his duties in the backfield, Brown accounted for two punt return touchdowns and one receiving TD.
