CCSU's Colby Delbene and Bryant's Eimear Black
In preparation for the upcoming NEC Championship on Saturday, Oct. 27, several league teams participated in the CCSU Mini Meet last weekend. Bryant's Eimear Black won the 3K race and thus, wins NEC Athlete of the Week honors. Black led a pack of 144 competitors, finishing in a time of 10:04. Her teammate, Annmarie Tuxbury was the fastest NEC freshman across in the line in a time of 10:44.26 to become the NEC Rookie of the Week. On the men's side, a pair of CCSU runners sweep the weekly awards. NEC Athlete of the Week Colby Delbene won the 5k race in 15:22.61, while NEC Rookie of the Week Tyler Raymond placed 23rd in a time of 16:12.32.
