The season’s first installment of the NEC’s weekly bowling awards program has a very “Franciscan” feel to it.  The reason being that the honorees hail from St. Francis (NY) and Saint Francis (PA).  NEC Bowler of the Week Kristina Terpo was locked in this past weekend at Kutztown where the Terriers contested the KU Fall Baker Invite on Saturday followed by the KU Fall Team Invite on Sunday.  Terpo put down 21.8 pins per frame over the two-day span, which yielded an 8-3 team record for the Terriers.  Meanwhile, on her way to the NEC Rookie of the Week award, first-year Red Flash Shelby Derr averaged 21.4 pins per frame over the course of a weekend that saw Saint Francis (PA) win 10 of 11 matches contested.
