FDU's Millette Green
Hackensack, NJ -- Fairleigh Dickinson women’s basketball head coach Pete Cinella announced the promotion of assistant coach Millette Green to associate head coach on Wednesday.  The 2012-13 season will be her third year with the Knights.

“We are very happy to promote Millette to this position because she is very deserving of this,” Cinella said.  “She has done a great job of taking over the recruiting and leading us in a good direction, while being an extremely hard worker and dedicated to getting our team better.”

Over the past two seasons with Green on the staff, FDU has produced the most wins over a two-year period since the 1991-92 and 1992-93 seasons, and Cinella expects the win total to keep improving.

Before coming to FDU, Green was an assistant basketball coach for Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis (IUPUI) for two seasons.  At IUPUI, she was the film exchange coordinator during her first season and was the scouting and team travel coordinator during her second season.

Prior to Green's stint with the Jaguars, she was an assistant coach at Robert Morris University.  At RMU, she assisted with recruiting, on-the-court coaching, player development, opponent scouting, game-film breakdown and analysis, game preparation and strategy.

Green spent the spring of 2007 as a community relations intern for the Charlotte Bobcats of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Green played collegiate at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC before transferring to the University of Maryland-Baltimore County (UMBC), receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and an MBA Preparatory Certificate in 2003.  She completed her Master's of Business Administration and Master's of Science in Sports Management at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL.
