Loretto, PA -- Head men's soccer coach Michael Casper announced the addition of Alan Fread to complete his coaching staff for the 2012-13 season.
A 2009 graduate of Penn State University, Fread's most recent coaching experience comes from a series of camps, clubs and clinics over the past few years. His longest running tenure came from 2010-12 where Fread coached both collegiate and high school student-athletes at camps held at Clarion University. During his time at Clarion, he worked on player techniques such as passing, receiving, dribbling, shooting and shielding.
In the 2011-12 season, Fread served as an assistant and goalie coach at Loyalsock High School in Williamsport, Pa., developing and executing daily training sessions for the varsity and junior varsity squads.
“I am excited to have Alan join our staff,” Casper said. “He is hard working, knowledgeable and is excited to be a part of Saint Francis soccer. The energy he brings, along with his positive attitude and experience will all help benefit our student-athletes and push this program forward.”
Fread holds a bachelor's degree from Penn State in psychology.
