Conference play began last week, and behind the strong performance of Molten/NEC Player of the Week Rachel Dunlap, Central Connecticut starts out 2-0. The sophomore posted posted19 kill, a .607 hitting   percentage and 1.14 blocks per set in the Blue Devils two wins against St. Francis (NY) (3-0) and Fairleigh Dickinson (3-1). Dunlap's teammate, Makenna Lommori earns Molten/NEC Rookie of the Week accolades for the third week in a row. The freshman averaged 12.43 assists per set with 87 total. LIU Brookyln also sits at 2-0 after the first week of NEC play, led by Molten/Defensive Player of the Week Adriana Vinas Joy, who was tabbed with the honor for the third time this season. The freshman libero had 23 digs in a tough five-set win over defending NEC champions Sacred Heart, and 18 in the Blackbirds’ 2-0 win against Quinnipiac.
