The 2012-13 golf season has begun with quite a sucessful start for NEC teams and athletes. Ian Thimble of Monmouth University, Chris Stricek of Saint Francis (PA) and Ann Colligan of Saint Francis (PA) all earn NEC Golf Player of the Month honors after impressive performances throughout their first few matches. Thimble posted two top-five finishes in the first two tournaments of the season, and has carded an average of 72 through five rounds. Stricek began his rookie career with two first place finishes, at the MAC Invitational and Penn State Altoona Invititional. Colligan sucessfully defended her Cleveland State Invitational title, and also tied for fifth place out of 83 competitors at the Bucknell Invitational.
