NEC WOMEN’S LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jess DeMeo, Bryant
Jr, A, Mount Sinai, NY/Mount Sinai

Once again, DeMeo was an offensive force for the Bulldogs. For the second time in three games, DeMeo tied the program record with eight goals, and also added an assist on Saturday to lead Bryant to an 18-8 win over Niagara. The junior attacker and three-time NEC Player of the Week now leads the league in total goals (27) and is tied for first nationally in goals per game (4.5).

NEC WOMEN'S LACROSSE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Samantha Santeramo, Bryant
Sr., GK, Wantagh, NY/General Douglas MacArthur

Santeramo, a two-time NEC Defensive Player of the Week, averaged 10.5 saves per game in two outings for the Bulldogs. The senior goalkeeper stopped 11 shots in a 7-6 setback to two-time defending MAAC champion Canisius last Thursday. Santeramo then followed that up with an 10-save performance in an 18-8 win over Niagara on Saturday to finish the week with a .538 save percentage.

NEC WOMEN’S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Amanda Masullo, LIU Brooklyn
Fr., A, Selden, NY/Centereach

Masullo led the Blackbirds to a 2-1 week on the road. The freshman accumulated nine goals, two assists and 16 draw controls over the three games. In a 14-6 win over Presbyterian on Tuesday, the freshman attacker scored four goals to go along with seven draw controls. Masullo once again recorded seven draw controls to go along with two caused turnovers, two goals and an assist in an 18-5 victory over Wofford two days later. The Selden, NY native finished up the three-game swing with a hat trick and an assist in a setback to VCU on Sunday.

NEC PRIME PERFORMERS

Robert Morris junior attacker Shannon Lynch (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler) scored her first career hat trick and added an assist in leading the Colonials with four points in an 11-6 win over St. Bonaventure on Sunday. Lynch also collected a pair of ground balls and caused a turnover in the win.

Wagner junior attacker Anna Belle Reilly (Paradise Valley, AZ/Notre Dame Prep.) tallied six points on three goals and three assists in leading Wagner to an 11-6 road win over MAAC opponent Manhattan on Sunday. The junior also added two ground balls and caused turnover for the Seahawks.

Robert Morris sophomore defender Madison Burke (Finksburg, MD/Notre Dame Prep.) collected three ground balls and caused four turnover’s in RMU’s 11-6 home win over A-10 foe St. Bonaventure on Sunday. Burke’s effort helped the Colonials shut out the Bonnies for a stretch of 29:38, nearly the entire second half of the game.

NEC NOTES

Bryant junior attacker Jess DeMeo (Mount Sinai, NY/Mount Sinai) is tied for 1st nationally with 4.50 goals per game. The NEC Player of the Week is also tied for 12th with teammate Caitlin Breglia (Long Beach, NY/Long Beach) at 5.17 points per game.
