| Monmouth Women's Soccer Moves Up National Polls |
Thanks to the Hawks’ unblemished record after the first four matches of the season, the Monmouth University women’s soccer team moved up in the national rankings on Tuesday afternoon. Following home victories over Saint Peter’s and regional-power Boston University, the Hawks are ranked No. 22 by Soccer America, and are receiving 12 votes in the NSCAA/HendrickCars.com National poll. In addition, Monmouth is rated 10th in the Northeast Region by the NSCAA. The Northeast Region is comprised of all soccer institutions in the BIG EAST, America East, MAAC and Northeast Conference. "Our team is training hard, getting fitter each day and when game time arrives we are competing and battling for good stretches of the match," commented head coach Krissy Turner. "Our goal is that when the end of September arrives, we are doing this for 90 minutes."
