St. Francis (NY) Bowler Kristina Terpo Takes Home Gold & Bronze Medals At Empire State Games

SFNY's Kristina Terpo   Sophomore bowler Kristina Terpo (Brooklyn, New York/Sheepshead Bay) captured gold and a bronze medal at the 2010 Empire States Games, held in Williamsville, New York at Transit Lanes on July 23rd. Terpo teamed up with Philip Marks in the Open Division Mixed Doubles to bowl 1,587 to propel the New York City region to first place honors in the event. Later in the afternoon, the Brooklyn, New York native took home third place accolades in the Women’s Trio as she rolled a total score of 2,308.

St. Francis (NY) Women's Golf Adds Staten Island Native Lauren Suarez For 2010-11 Season

St. Francis College head women’s golf coach Julio Campuzano has announced that Lauren Suarez (Staten Island, NY/St. Joseph’s by the Sea) will join the Terriers for the 2010-11 season. Suarez enjoyed her best performance during the 2010 Kiwanis Junior Golf Tournament, in which she carded a 55 and 54 through 24 holes at the event, taking first place honors. This past season, she was the captain of the team, leading St. Joseph’s to an undefeated regular season. Suarez has achieved second place finishes at the Staten Island Junior Amateur and the Jody Junior Golf Tournament, both occurring in 2009.
