Saint Francis (PA) Announces Inaugural Bowling Schedule

The Saint Francis women’s bowling team will compete in at least nine events, including one home competition, in its inaugural season, head coach Tom Falbo announced on Thursday. Six Red Flash bowlers, including four freshmen, will open the 2010-11 season on Oct. 23 in a two-day event at the Kutztown University Fall Baker Invite. “This schedule is fantastic for our young and talented team,” Falbo said. “We will be testing ourselves against the best competition in the country, while still having opportunities to gain confidence and standing as this team develops and achieves throughout the year.”

Falbo Announces Inaugural Red Flash Women’s Bowling Roster

Saint Francis University’s inaugural women’s bowling team will hit the lanes in 2010-11 with a roster of six that has been announced by head coach Tom Falbo. Freshman Heidi Baumert (Lincoln, Neb. / Pius X), freshman Jessica Henri (Howell, N.J. / Howell), junior Emily Knott (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona), freshman Marissa Matassa (Verona, Pa. / Plum Senior), senior Christina Medley (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona), and freshman Jennifer Mueller (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg) will form the first-ever roster for the Red Flash. “I am proud of these young women and honored to be their head coach,” Falbo said. “We are setting up what will be a fantastic first year for this program. This is a talented young team made up of a lot of heart. It’s a blessing to know them and be their coach.”
