Dates/Location The 2010 NEC Baseball Championships will be held on May 27-29.
Participating Schools The championship will consist of a four-team, double-elimination tournament comprised of six or seven games over three days. The top four teams based on regular season conference winning percentage qualify for the NEC Tournament.
The NEC champion will go on to compete at NCAA regionals.
NEC Schools That Sponsor Baseball Central Connecticut State, Fairleigh Dickinson, Long Island, Monmouth, Mount St. Mary’s, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart and Wagner.

About TD Bank Ballpark/Somerset Patriots
TD Bank Ballpark, "The Jewel of The Atlantic League," opened its gates on June 7, 1999 for the first ever Somerset Patriots home game in front of 6,506 fans. In a special Opening Day Ceremony, Governor Christie Todd Whitman and New Jersey officials gave their seal of approval for what would become one of the most successful minor league ballparks throughout the nation, drawing over 2,100,000 fans by its sixth season.
The 6,100 seat ballpark is the home to 70 Somerset Patriots games during an Atlantic League season. The ballpark was designed by Clark Caton and Hintz and SSP Architecture and built by Epic Construction.
The ballpark features seats with backs and cup holders for fans to to have every comfort when enjoying the game in the Premium Field Box, Field Box, and Upper Box seating areas.
Down the left field line, the Patriots host special group outings in the Picnic Area and Executive Party Deck TD Bank Ballpark features twenty luxury suites that are used by groups throughout the season. The luxury suites also have balcony seating for fans to watch games outdoors.
Down the right field line, TD Bank Ballpark has a grassy area called the Turf Club, an open area where fans can sit on the grass or bring beach towels to sit on to enjoy the game by the Patriots bullpen.
TD Bank Ballpark is a multi-use facility that has been the home of the Big East Baseball Championship Tournament and County Baseball Tournaments during the season. In the off-season, the ballpark is the site of the Big Apple Circus and the New Jersey State Fair.
TD Bank Ballpark is also the home of the Somerset County Park Commission concerts that have featured music legends such as Tony Bennett and Willie Nelson and pop sensation Jessica Simpson.

Directions from Route 287
Northbound – Exit 13 B: Somerville Route 28 West
Come off the exit to traffic light; bear right onto Route 28 West. Get over to left and make first left turn at traffic light onto Promenade Boulevard (McDonalds, Applebee’s, Home Depot, Target, etc.) Come to the end of the road to traffic light and the ballpark is directly in front of you. Make a left onto East Main Street and make the first right into TD Bank Ballpark’s parking lot.
Southbound – Exit 13: Somerville Route 28
As you bear onto the exit you will come to a traffic light. Go straight across the light onto Promenade Boulevard (McDonalds, Applebee’s, Home Depot, Target, etc.) Come to the end of the road to traffic light and the ballpark is directly in front of you. Make a left onto East Main Street and make the first right into TD Bank Ballpark’s parking lot.
Directions from Route 22
Eastbound
Make a right onto Chimney Rock Road (right over the railroad tracks). The UPS Depot will be on your right as you come down to the first traffic light. Go straight through the traffic light to Foothill Road; you will be crossing over Route 28. You will come to another traffic light. That is East Main Street. Make a left at the light and TD Bank Ballpark is on the right.
Westbound
Coming down Route 22 west, take the exit for Route 287 South, then follow directions from Route 287 South (best option).
OR
Take the Route 22 East jughandle on the left in Bridgewater. Merge onto Route 22 East and make the first right on Chimney Rock Road (right over the railroad tracks). UPS depot will be on your right as you come down to the first traffic light. Go straight at that traffic light, you will be crossing over Route 28. Come to another traffic light. That is East Main Street. Make a left at the light and TD Bank Ballpark is on the right.

Eastbound/Westbound
Exit 29: 287 South towards Somerville

NJ Turnpike to Exit 10, Route 287 North. Follow directions from Route 287 North

Directions from Somerville Circle
Take Route 28 East to the 2nd Traffic Light, make a left onto Main Street Somerville, and take East Main Street all the way to TD Bank Ballpark on right. (Approximately 5 miles)
OR
Follow signs for Route 22 East and then follow Route 22 East Directions.
Directions by Train
The only NJ Transit rail line that serves the Bridgewater Station Stop is the Raritan Valley Line. This stop is located within the TD Bank Ballpark Complex.
Tickets To NEC Baseball Championships
Tickets to the 2010 NEC Baseball Championships may be purchased at TD Bank Ballpark on the day of the event.
Tickets are $10 for those 13 and older and $5 for those individuals between 5-12 years of age and 65 and older. NEC students with a valid ID and children under 5 years old will be admitted free.
