Choice Hotels NEC Co-Player of the Week honors go to Fairleigh Dickinson senior guard Sean Baptiste and Quinnipiac senior guard James Feldeine. In leading the third place Knights in a series sweep of Monmouth last week, Baptiste averaged 25.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and shot 61.3 percent from the floor. He scored 27 points and grabbed 10 boards against the Hawks on Thursday and followed with a 24-point outing on Saturday. Feldeine averaged 24.5 points and 5.5 rebounds last week in a pair of Quinnipiac wins over Sacred Heart. He netted a game-high 27 points versus the Pioneers on Thursday, then scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half as the Bobcats rallied for a 90-87 win on Saturday. For the fourth time this season, Robert Morris freshman guard Karon Abraham is the recipient of the Choice Hotels NEC Rookie of the Week award. Abraham helped extend the first place Colonials win streak to nine with a pair of victories over Saint Francis (PA). He averaged 13.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 57.1 percent from the field. Along with teammates Russell Johnson and Velton Jones, Robert Morris players have accounted for six of the 12 weekly rookie honors in 2009-10.

Saint Francis University senior Saint Francis University senior Kurt Hoffman (Johnstown, Pa. / Greater Johnstown) has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 2 Mens Basketball First Team, as announced on Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Hoffman is a two-year team captain who has started 14 of 21 games this year, helping the Red Flash play into contention for one of the Northeast Conferences eight playoff spots. The former President (2009) of the Saint Francis Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Hoffman is currently juggling the requirements of a Division I mens basketball player, as well as taking classes and student-teaching. He has a 3.81 grade-point-average (GPA) in Mathematics/Secondary Education.
