| Quinnipiac Men's Tennis Falls To No. 7 Stanford, 4-0, In NCAA Tournament First Round |
Led by six singles points by James Kwei (Dedham, Mass.) and four more by John Hughes (Springfield, Mass.), the Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team tallied a program-record 24 game victories, but fell to No. 7 Stanford, 4-0, in the NCAA Tournament First Round Saturday afternoon at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium. The 24 game victories are the most by a Northeast Conference team in the NCAA Tournament in the last seven years, the furthest back complete records are available. "I feel like we gained some respect by playing tough at all times," said Quinnipiac Head Coach Mike Quitko. "Stanford’s one of the best teams in the country and we made it difficult on them."

| Quinnipiac Men's Tennis Draws No. 8 Stanford In NCAA Tournament First Round |
The Quinnipiac University men’s tennis team has drawn nationally-ranked No. 8 Stanford University in the NCAA Tournament First Round. The pairings were announced this evening on ESPNews. The Bobcats and Cardinal will meet for the second time in as many NCAA appearances for Quinnipiac. The Bobcats also traveled to Palo Alto in 2006, their last trip to the NCAA’s. The first-round match is scheduled for Saturday, May 15, at a time to be determined. Hawaii and Pepperdine join the Bobcats and Cardinal in the Stanford Regional. "It’s always an honor to play at Stanford because of their history," said Quinnipiac Head Coach Mike Quitko. "I think the boys wanted to go to California, and I’m sure they’ll put their best foot forward."
