Northeast Conference Swimming and Diving Release (2/2)

SFPA's Alicia Ford   In what was the final week of competition for almost all teams, many of the swimmers registered much improved times. These couldn't come at a better time as the teams will now prepare for the NEC Championships being held two weekends from now (Feb. 11-13) at Yale University. One such swimmer who earned better times is freshman Alicia Ford of Saint Francis (PA), this week's NEC Swimmer of the Week. She set a new school record in the 100 free (53.07) and anchored the Red Flash 200 free medley team in a come-from-behind win (1:49.85) where her split was 24.01. No NEC Diver of the Week was selected.

Northeast Conference Swimming and Diving Release (1/26)

Bryant freshman Molly Smith   Bryant freshman Molly Smith swam superb in her events last week, placing first in all five. She also set a new school record in the 200 meter freestyle (1:59.48) that just surpassed teammate Jess Looney's record-setting time from the 2006 season. This NEC Swimmer of the Week accolade is Smith's second of the 2009-10 season. No NEC Diver of the Week was selected.
