Central Connecticut State’s season opener scheduled for Sunday vs. Siena was postponed due to poor field conditions...The Blue Devils are now scheduled to open their season on Thursday (3/17), hosting Stonehill at 3:30 pm.
Long Island (1-1, 0-0 NEC)
Long Island defeated Canisius, 13-9, in their only matchup last week...Sophomore Amy Rizzo (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial) matched two school records with six goals and eight points in the victory...Rizzo scored five goals during a stretch in which the Blackbirds netted eight straight to open the second half for a 12-7 lead...Fellow sophomore Kayleigh Graves (Orlando, FL/Winter Springs) scored four goals for the second straight game, two of which came in the second-half stretch...Graves also notched a game-high seven ground balls while senior goalkeeper Patricia Parker (Long Branch, NJ/Brookdale) made 12 saves for LIU...The Blackbirds game scheduled for Saturday against Niagara was postponed due to inclement weather...Long Island returns to action at the University of California tomorrow and takes on UC Davis on Wednesday (3/16).
Monmouth (0-2, 0-0 NEC)
Monmouth opened up the season on Thursday with a 17-11 loss to #18 Boston University, falling to 0-5 all-time versus nationally ranked squads...The Hawks then fell to Duquesne, 11-5, on Saturday...Carolyn Raveia (Fairfax, VA/WT Woodson) scored six goals and added two assists on the week...The sophomore tallied four goals and added two assists against Boston and netted a pair of goals in the Hawks’ loss to Duquesne...Freshman Megan Nutter (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) made her collegiate debut with four goals in the Hawks’ loss to Boston...The Hawks host Lehigh on Wednesday (3/16) then travel to Providence, RI to take on Brown on Saturday (3/19).
Mount St. Mary’s (1-3, 0-0 NEC)
Mount St. Mary’s went 1-1 last week, defeating Lehigh, 8-5, on Thursday and falling to George Washington, a team that is receiving votes in the IWLCA poll, 5-4 on Sunday...The combined nine goals scored in the game against the Colonials marked the lowest combined total since the Mount lost 6-3 to St. Mary’s of California on March 7, 2003...Lauren Reymann (Ellicott City, MD/Mount Hebron) recorded two goals in the win against the Mountain Hawks and tallied one more in the loss against the Colonials...The junior, who had six goals all of last season, has four tallies in four games this season...Nicole Di’Angelo (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary’s) scored twice against Lehigh, including the eventual game-winner and added an assist against George Washington...With her two-goal performance, the senior moved into eighth place on the all-time career goals list with 67...Junior Jen Davison (Riva, Md./South River) moved into sixth place on the all-time draw controls list with 56 and cracked the Top-10 in caused turnovers with 54...Graduate student Naomi Campano Radio (Schnecksville, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) posted 26 saves in the two games this week...The Mount returns to action on Wednesday against Denver and then travels to #19 Delaware on Friday night.
Quinnipiac (0-3, 0-0 NEC)
Quinnipiac went 0-2 last week, losing to Brown on Tuesday, 4-0, and Harvard on Sunday, 13-11…Tuesday’s loss to Brown marked the first time in program history that Quinnipiac allowed five or less goals in a game and lost...The Bobcats had been 17-0 prior…Junior Jennifer Larson (Islip Terrace, NY/East Islip) broke out for a hat trick against Harvard on Sunday while sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Thompson (Hunt Valley, MD/Roland Park Country School) stopped 15 shots against the Crimson…After two Ivy League games last week, Quinnipiac travels to take on two Big East foes this week in UConn (3/16) and Boston College (3/19).

The Colonials kick off their inaugural season on Thursday, March 17th at Niagara.
Sacred Heart (3-0, 0-0 NEC)
After a 3-0 start to the season, Sacred Heart was idle last week...The Pioneers return to action hosting Stony Brook on Tuesday (3/15), then travel to #17 New Hampshire on Saturday (3/19).
St. Francis (PA) (0-2, 0-0 NEC)
St. Francis (PA) opened up their season in Buffalo, NY, falling to Niagara, 9-6, on Friday and Canisius, 16-1, on Saturday...The Red Flash are idle this week and are back in action against Binghamton for their home-opener on Monday, March 21st.
Wagner (0-3, 0-0 NEC)
Wagner went 0-3 this week, falling to Holy Cross, 11-6, and Fairfield, 11-10, in West Palm Beach, FL and losing to Columbia, 15-6, at home on Saturday...After traveling to Philadelphia, PA to take on St. Joseph’s this afternoon, the Seahawks return home to face Bucknell on Friday (3/18).

Long Island sophomore Amy Rizzo (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial) and Monmouth freshman Megan Nutter (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) earned this week’s Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively...Rizzo recorded six goals and two assists on the week while Nutter scored four goals in the first game of her collegiate career...Central Connecticut State and Robert Morris are the only two NEC teams who have not yet played a game...Both squads are scheduled to kick off their seasons on Thursday, March 17th.
