The Bulldogs played tough but came away empty-handed from their 0-2 week, taking a 3-0 loss at the hands of then-undefeated Rider (Oct. 16) before dropping a 2-1 decision at Sacred Heart (Oct. 18). … The game at SHU was Bryant's final road game of the season. … Junior Julie Kuchyt (Hatfield, MA/Smith Academy) scored the only tally of the week for the Bulldogs, which was assisted by senior Caitlan Johnson (Walpole, MA/Walpole). … Sophomore Jennifer Gullotti (Walthan, MA/Waltham) made her first start of the season in goal against Rider, recording three stops in 35 minutes of action. Senior goalkeeper Kundayi Mawema (Harare, Zimbabwe) played 105 minutes on the week, recording 10 saves and a .714 save percentage.
Lock Haven (14-3, 5-0 NEC)
Lock Haven had another blemish-free week, picking up shutout wins over Northeast Conference foes Robert Morris (Oct. 16) and Saint Francis (PA) (Oct. 18). The Lady Eagles have won 11 in a row and have shut out their last seven opponents (winning by a combined 26-0 margin). LHU's 4-0 win over Saint Francis marked the 29th straight against a NEC opponent and helped The Haven run its all-time conference record to 41-2. … Junior forward Amy Hordendorf (Topton, PA/Brandywine Heights), the former NEC Player of the Week, led The Haven's offense with seven points in the two matches. She scored three goals and dished out one assist. Hordendorf leads the Lady Eagles, and the Northeast Conference, in goals (21). … Lock Haven is back in action when it hosts Sacred Heart (Oct. 23) before visiting Monmouth (Oct. 25). Lock Haven is 6-0 all-time vs. Sacred Heart and owns a 5-0 mark against Monmouth.
Monmouth (7-9, 3-2 NEC)
The Hawks dropped back-to-back games this past weekend, falling to #17 Delaware, 3-1, and to NEC rival Quinnipiac, 2-1, in overtime. … The Blue & White posted their lone goal of the Delaware game 23 minutes into the second half when sophomore Tara Brown (Abington, PA/Archbishop Wood) converted a off a penalty corner. … Monmouth forced an overtime session at Quinnipiac when freshman Michelle Pieczynski (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) scored with 00:48 remaining in regulation. It was the rookie's sixth tally of the season. … The Hawks are idle until defending NEC champion Lock Haven (Oct. 25) comes to the Jersey Shore.
Quinnipiac (4-9, 3-2 NEC)
Quinnipiac won back-to-back NEC games to double its season win total in two days times. The Bobcats shut out Nutmeg State rival Sacred Heart (Oct. 13), 5-0, before outlasting Monmouth (Oct. 18), 2-1, in OT. … Four different Bobcats scored in Quinnipiac's win over Sacred Heart. It was the first time such a feat occurred since Oct. 22, 2006 when QU downed Saint Francis (PA), 6-0. … Senior Bonnie Shea (Walpole, MA) posted a two-goal effort to push her team-leading goal total to four. Kristen Engelke (Medford, NJ), Lauren Hartnett (Walpole, MA) and Liz Marini (Canton, MA) also scored in the win. Engelke's goal was her first of her career, while Hartnett and Marini each scored their third goals of the season. … Quinnipiac has allowed just two goals in their last four games, outscoring opponents 10-2 and winning thrice. … In 129 minutes of action, Jenna Grossman (Flanders, NJ) posted a 2-0 record with a 0.54 goals-against average last week. The reigning NEC Goalkeeper of the Year carries a 2.52 goals-against average and .762 save percentage. … Quinnipiac hosts Yale (Oct. 22) before visiting Bryant (Oct. 25).
Rider (13-1, 4-0 NEC)
The Broncs had their program-record 13-game winning streak snapped at Rutgers (Oct. 17) by a 5-2 score. ... The day prior to their first loss, Rider ran its Northeast Conference record to 4-0 with a 3-0 shutout of Bryant (Oct. 16). ... The game against Bryant was held at Mercer County Community College due to weather-related conditions on Rider' campus. … All three of Rider's goals against Bryant came off the sticks of freshmen. Austyn Swartz (Pitman, NJ/Pitman) broke a scoreless tie two minutes before halftime with fellow rookie Marlaine Schneider (Feasterville, PA/Neshaminy) scoring her sixth of the season four into the second half. Schneider assisted freshman Jackie Adams (Medford Lakes, NJ/Shawnee) on the Broncs' final goal with 13 minutes left. ... Rider entered last week as one of only three undefeated teams in NCAA Division I including Maryland (15-0) and North Carolina (13-0). ... Sophomores Megan Pisani (Plainsboro, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro) and Virginia Egusquiza (Getxo, Spain) along with senior goalie Lyndsie Johnson (Gibbsboro, NJ/Eastern) continue to be listed among the leaders in the NCAA statistics. Pisani is among the leaders in goals per game, Egusquiza assists per game and Johnson goals against average, shutouts, and save percentage. ... Before Rutgers took the lead 15 minutes into the game on Oct. 17, Rider had gone the whole season (947 minutes) without trailing. ... Rider travels to Robert Morris (Oct. 23) and Saint Francis (PA) (Oct. 25) for a pair on NEC games. ... Rider needs one more conference win to clinch a playoff spot for the 10th straight season.

Robert Morris suffered a 6-0 loss to defending NEC champion Lock Haven (Oct. 16) in its lone action of the week. ... The Colonials have another light week ahead. They host Rider (Oct. 23) in their lone upcoming action.
Sacred Heart (2-13, 1-3 NEC)
Sacred Heart rebounded from losses to NEC rival Quinnipiac (Oct. 13) and Hofstra (Oct. 16) by defeating Bryant (Oct. 18), 2-1, for its first conference victory this season. … Junior forward Stephanie Fazio (Norwalk, CT/Brien McMahon) netted her third goal of the season, the game-winner, against Bryant. … Sophomore forward Chelsea Carlson (Peterborough, NH/Contoocook) registered the first goal of the game SHU's 2-1 win. It was her fifth tally of the season. She also notched the Pioneers' lone goal in a 4-1 non-conference defeat against Hofstra at Yale's Johnson Field. Carlson currently leads the team in scoring with five goals and two assists. ... Sacred Heart hits the road this week for NEC matchups at Lock Haven (Oct. 23) and Siena (Oct. 25).
Saint Francis (PA) (2-13, 2-3 NEC)
Before falling, 4-0, to Lock Haven (Oct. 18), the Red Flash earned their second win of the season last week, a 1-0 triumph over Siena (Oct. 16). … Freshman Tia Dudukovich (Port Matilda, PA/State College Area) notched her first career goal in the win … Sophomore goalkeeper Kate Vitali (Bel Air, MD/C. Milton Wright) made four stops to earn the shutout victory in net. … Saint Francis (PA) hosts Rider (Oct. 25) this week on what will be Senior Day for Flash Field Hockey.
Siena (3-11, 1-3 NEC)
The Saints went winless for the week, falling, 1-0, at Saint Francis (PA) (Oct. 16) before stumbling, 4-0, against Capital Region rival #18 UAlbany (Oct. 25). … Siena amassed a season-high 17 penalty corners, including 13 in the second half alone, against the Red Flash, but could not cash in. … The Saints return to action at Bryant (Oct. 23) before closing out the home schedule with Senior Day festivities against Sacred Heart (Oct. 25).
