Fairleigh Dickinson, Monmouth and Mount St. Mary's have combined to win 15 NEC championships.  FDU won the first two titles and then again in 1994.  The Mount won in 1993 and bounced back in 1995 to take the next four titles, before FDU broke the streak in 1999. Monmouth took home its first outdoor title in 2000, repeated in 2001 and made it thre in a row in 2002.  St. Francis (PA) collected its first championship in 2003, edging Long Island by one-half point in the closest finish in NEC Track & Field history.  In 2004, Monmouth tied a meet record for points to win its fourth title in five years.  St. Francis (PA) collected its second conference championship in 2005.  Long Island broke through to win its first-ever NEC crown in 2006. Monmouth matched the Mount's all-time mark with its fifth league title in 2007.  Sacred Heart brought home its first championship in 2008. Monmouth upped its record NEC title total to ten by winning five straight from 2009 to 2013. LIU Brooklyn captured its second league championship in 2014 in one of the closest finishes in NEC history. Sacred Heart walked away with its second league title in 2015 with the third-highest point total in league history. The Pioneers kept winning, making it four straight through the 2018 season. CCSU won its first NEC title in 2019 in the closest finish in championship history with three separated by just two points. Saint Francis U ran away from the field in 2021 to win its first championship since 2005, repeated in dominating fashion in 2022 and made it three in a row in 2023.
